  • 16 day Baltic – Burg to Burg tour and cruise. Explore Edinburgh then sail from “Burgh” to “Burg” with calls to six stunning cities in five different countries, including Scandinavian capitals and the spectacular Russian gem of St Petersburg, plus scenic cruising of breathtaking waterways and memorable sights and experiences.

After enjoying Edinburgh including a special Scottish welcome dinner and show, we then transfer to nearby Rosyth to board MV Balmoral where you’ll enjoy a relaxing sea day and views of gorgeous German countryside via the Kiel Canal before our first stop - Copenhagen.
The delights of the Danish capital are within easy reach of our ship’s berth, including the famous Little Mermaid statue, the pretty Nyhavn waterfront district and impressive Christiansborg and Amalienborg palaces. Then it’s on to Estonia and the fairytale like capital, Tallinn with enchanting cobbled streets and architectural – including medieval UNESCO-listed Old Town and the striking Alexander Nevsky Cathedral –sure to whet your appetite for the wonders of our next stop - St Petersburg. This awe-inspiring Russian city is a treasure of iconic landmarks. Our overnight stay affords time to explore. The Hermitage Museum, Peterhof Palace, elaborate Church on the Spilled Blood, and magnificent Catherine Palace are not-to-be-missed; and you also have the opportunity to attend the world-famous Russian ballet.

Four fantastic days in Sweden begin with a scenic cruise of the Stockholm Archipelago, passing many of the numerous rocky islands and islets enroute to the capital, Stockholm. Here we could explore the historic Gamla Stan district and witness the changing of the guard at the magnificent Royal Palace; visit interesting museums including the Skansen Open-air Museum. Another epic journey through the Stockholm Archipelago is followed by a call to Gothenburg, offering an opportunity to take in the sights of Swedens 2nd city from the 17th century canals. At Oslo – known for its artistic and aesthetic attractions appear with every turn here including the Vigeland Sculpture Park, the Polar Ship Museum, the Akershus Fortress and the National Gallery, home of Edvard Munch’s The Scream. Alternatively you can head take a tour to explore the dense forests and lush green valleys surrounding the city before enjoying a scenic cruise of the Oslofjord as we head back to Edinburgh.

MV Balmoral has just 710 well-appointed rooms and suites..While offering full service cruising it is small enough to navigate narrow waterways, such as the Kiel Canal, providing guests with some fantastic scenic cruising opportunities missed when sailing on larger vessels. A Scottish theme runs throughout the ship with the names of all fine-dining restaurants being influenced by the Highlands; the Ballindalloch, Avon and Spey. Whichever you dine in, you’ll be in for a treat as our Chef’s produce tantalising menus ensuring no two days are the same. And there is plenty of time and space to relax on board with a whole host of lounges and bars providing ample room – another advantage of sharing your experience with hundreds and not thousands of other guests. And as expected, there is always a fine array of entertainment on throughout the day, ensuring you can do as much or as little with your time on board – the choice is yours.
