  • DAY 1 MONDAY

    Los Angeles | Santa Barbara | Paso Robles (220 miles/354 km)

    Board the motor coach and depart for the California coast following the historic “El Camino Real”. Explore Santa Barbara, often referred to as the pearl of the American Riviera and known for its Spanish Colonial Style architecture, lush vegetation and laid-back lifestyle, and briefly visit the Mission. Early afternoon arrival to Paso Robles, once California’s wine lovers’ best kept secret, now the new hotspot for oenophiles and star on the international wine stage.

    DAY 2 TUESDAY

    Paso Robles | Monterey | San Francisco (240 m/387 km)

    Travel to Monterey, California’s first capital. After a stop in this beautiful seaside town, travel along stunning 17-Mile Drive known for its exclusive golf courses, beautiful views and distinctive fauna. Then visit the quaint and charming village of Carmel before arriving in “The City by the Bay” with its beautiful views, famous cable cars, parks and the Golden Gate Bridge.

    Morning sightseeing of one of the most beautiful cities in America including highlights such as Union Square, Chinatown, Golden Gate Park and Fisherman’s Wharf with a view of infamous Alcatraz Island across the bay. Afternoon at leisure.

    DAY 4 THURSDAY

    San Francisco | Wine Country | Sacramento (203 m/326 km)

    Start this day, dedicated to the epicure and the curious equally, on the famous Sonoma Marin Cheese Trail. Taste some of the local artisan cheeses during a cheese sampling. In world-renowned Napa, you will enjoy a tour of a winery followed by wine tasting. Upon arrival to CA’s capital Sacramento, an orientation tour will include both Old Town and the Capitol Building.

    DAY 5 FRIDAY

    Sacramento | Yosemite National Park | Fresno (265 m/426 km)

    Early departure to Yosemite following Historic Highway 49, which winds and meanders through mining towns of days gone by, when James Marshall discovered Gold in California at Sutter’s Mill in 1848 and set off the largest gold rush in history. A stop will be made in the charming town of Columbia, known as the “Gem of the Southern Mines”. Continue to Yosemite National Park, the most popular natural tourist destination in California. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of Yosemite Valley with its majestic rock formations and breathtaking waterfalls. In late afternoon, travel through the fertile San Joaquin Valley, known as the fruit bowl of the nation, to Fresno, the final destination today.

    DAY 6 SATURDAY

    Fresno | Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks | Bakersfield (193 m/311 km)

    Follow into the steps of explorer John Muir and visit Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. These two parks lie side by side, united by the scenic Generals Highway, and encompass the most rugged portions of the Sierra Nevada. The landscape testifies to nature’s size, beauty, and diversity - huge mountains, rugged foothills, deep canyons, vast caverns, and the world’s largest trees, Sequoiadendron giganteum. In all the world, sequoias grow naturally only here, on the west slope of the spectacular Sierra Nevada, in some 75 groves that tower above the surrounding forests. In the early evening, arrive in the small town of Bakersfield, an “All-American town” in the Southern Joaquin Valley and home of the Bakersfield Sound.

    DAY 7 SUNDAY

    Bakersfield | Death Valley National Park | Las Vegas (378 m/608 km)

    Continental Breakfast.

    Today you will visit Death Valley, the largest national park in the continental U.S., with its most famous sights: Zabriskie Point, Furnace Creek Visitor Center, the Borax Museum, and Badwater - the lowest point below sea level in the western hemisphere, an incredible scenery basking underneath the world’s hottest sun. Continue to the man-made paradise of Las Vegas and for one evening enjoy this boomtown resort, featuring non-stop casinos, fabulous entertainment, great restaurants and attractions.

    DAY 8 MONDAY

    Las Vegas

    Enjoy a day of leisure in Las Vegas. Visit some of the spectacular hotels, take one of the many optional excursions offered or simply relax by the pool. Las Vegas has something for everyone, so take the whole day to explore this world-famous city.

    DAY 9 TUESDAY

    Las Vegas | Los Angeles (269 m/430 km)

    Continental Breakfast.

    The morning is free to enjoy Las Vegas. Relax at the pool, shop or visit any of the many attractions in this bustling resort. Option to end the tour in Las Vegas or, around noon, depart west through the deserts of southern California. Arrival in the Los Angeles area in late afternoon.
