Poros is a small Greek island-pair in the southern part of the Saronic Gulf, at a distance about 58 km south from Piraeus. Like other islands in the Saronic group, it is a popular weekend destination for Athenian travellers.

Hydra is also located nearby. In ancient times known as Hydrea - a reference to the springs on the island. Overnight in Athens.

    Day 10: Athens, Olympia
After breakfast we drive first towards the Corinth Canal where we will make our first stop. We will visit the Theatre of Epidaurus constructed in the late 4th century BC. The theatre has great acoustics and actors can be perfectly heard by all 15,000 spectators - without the sound being amplified. The limestone rows filter the low-frequency sounds -such as the murmur of the crowd - but amplify the sounds from the stage. It is one of the most beautiful open-air theatres. It was only rediscovered in 1970. And then we keep passing through the town of Nafplio, a seaport town that was the first capital of modern Greece, from 1829 to 1834. Next is Mycenae, where we can discover the prehistoric Acropolis with the Lion Gate and Agamemnon's tomb. The Lion Gate of Mycenae was the entrance to the city. Similar bas-reliefs of two lion’s rampant facing each other are found in a number of places in the region. Then we continue to Olympia. Overnight Olympia.B,D

One of the best known is the Nike of Paeonius, featured on the medals awarded during the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. We continue to Delphi afterwards. After checking in to your hotel the rest of the day is yours to explore the city. Overnight Delphi.B
