Day 1, Thursday
From Sydney airport we make our way into the city centre for a short visit to Paddy’s Market, the Chinese Gardens and Darling Harbour before checking in to our centrally located hotel. You have time to freshen up before the included welcome dinner this evening.

Day 2, Friday
This morning we head away from the city into the Southern Highlands and to the colonial style village of Bowral (the distance from Sydney to Bowral is 130km). This afternoon the group travels to the beautiful tulip festival.
2 nights accommodation at HOTEL GRAND BOWRAL or similar.
Day 3, Saturday
After breakfast we visit Milton Park Garden, this garden is typically Edwardian, with formal geometric beds and garden rooms leading to beautiful vistas. Lunch enroute before our next garden, Chinoiserie. This colourful perennial garden is set in 1.25 acres with informal plantings in a formal setting consisting of herbaceous borders, potager, angel garden, stream and pond, peony garden, alpine troughs, rare plants and a developing woodland garden. This afternoon we return to Bowral
Day 4, Sunday
After breakfast this morning you will need to check out of the room. We continue exploring the area and beautiful Moidart Garden, a mature garden with many exotic specimen trees, then journey to Canberra (approx distance is 175km), Australia’s capital and our destination for three nights.

Day 5, Monday
After breakfast we travel to Australia’s celebration of spring at Floriade 2021, where we have a full day. Discover a delightful world of for spectacular entertainment, horticultural delights and a smorgasbord of activities for the whole family. Look out for the dazzling garden bed displays and tulip displays
Day 6, Tuesday
This morning we have a tour of central Canberra. Highlights of the tour include a visit to Mount Ainslie Lookout, the Embassies Row and Parliament House. Free time this afternoon to explore the Capital
Day 7, Wednesday
We return north to the Blue Mountains in Sydney’s far western suburbs to explore gardens at the local flower festival at Leura, the gem of the Blue Mountains. The distance from Canberra to Leura is approximately 300 km. Enroute we will see the grandeur of the dividing ranges and vast panoramas over the hidden valleys. The mountain areas are home to a variety of flowers and plants in contrast to the drier and hotter lower areas around Sydney.

Day 8, Thursday
We head off to a special place in the Blue Mountains today, the Everglades Historic House and Garden, the 1930s garden sits in twelve and a half acres of European-style gardens and native Australian bush with breathtaking views over the Jamison Valley in the World Heritage listed Blue Mountains. B
Day 9, Friday
Time to explore the Blue Mountains including Katoomba and Leura. We visit Echo Point and view the Three Sisters, and also ride the Scenic Railway/Cableway. Later we stop in the delightful village of Leura, the village has its annual fair this weekend, with market stalls and music creating a great atmosphere in the village. Farewell dinner (included) tonight

Day 11, Sunday
Last look at the Blue Mountains, before we head back to Sydney International Airport where our tour concludes. B

2 Day optional extension: Day 1
Why not take a stroll down to the Royal Botanic Gardens, - just a short walk around the water's edge from the Sydney Opera House, and one of the most breathtakingly beautiful settings you will see anywhere, with the gardens filling an area of land between the harbour and the eastern part of the central business district. The gardens sit on the side of an undulating piece of land and the harbour views from up on the hill are superb
2 Day optional extension: Day 2
The day is yours… Do a Sydney harbour cruise to Manly for lunch and a walk along the ocean front beach. Then this evening why not try a seafood dinner at the famous Doyles Seafood Restaurant.
