  • DAY 1 Wednesday: Modena
    We arrive in Milan this morning where we are met by our coach and first visit the famed design house Pininfarnia. Known for the design of many classic vehicles from Ferraris to Alfas, the museum contains a fascinating collection of concept cars and those that made it through to production. We are then transferred to the city of Modena and our hotel. B

    DAY 2 Thursday: Modena
    This morning we travel to the home of Lamborghini in the town of Sant’Agata Bolognese, south of Bologna. We have a tour of the factory where these amazing supercars are manufactured. You will see the assembly line of the Gallardo LP 560- 4 and follow, step-by-step, the making of a car: from the bodyshell to the interior and the mounting of Lamborghini’s V10 engine. We will then visit the acclaimed Lamborghini museum which has an example of almost every vehicle manufactured by the company. We then travel to the town of San Cesario sul Panaro where the Pagani are manufactured, to visit their factory and find out how these amazing vehicles are manufactured. B

    DAY 3 Friday: Modena
    This morning we visit the Enzo Ferrari Museum. Built around the home where he grew up, the museum details the great car manufacturer’s life, amongst a classic collection of cars he created. Then to Maranello and the Ferrari factory to visit the museum and take a bus tour through the factory grounds. The ground floor of the museum is dedicated to Formula One; upstairs are the Ferrari road cars, where pride of place goes to The Enzo, the car dedicated to its founder. We have included lunch today, at the Ristorante Cavallino, the famous restaurant across the road from the factory, where Enzo Ferrari used to dine. B,L

    DAY 4 Saturday: Turin
    We depart Modena today and travel to the city of Turin. On the way we will visit the Alfa Romeo museum which has now reopened. On arrival we visit the National Automobile Museum of Italy. The collection has around 200 cars and includes the first Italian cars, Bernardi 1896 and 1899 Fiat, the Rolls Royce Silver Ghost 1914, and racing cars by Ferrari and Alfa Romeo. We are then transferred to our hotel. Those wishing to dine together can meet in the lobby where the tour manager will suggest good value restaurants for dinner. B

    DAY 5 Sunday: Mulhouse
    We then travel north to the city of Mulhouse where we stay for the next two nights. B

    DAY 6 Monday: Mulhouse
    One of the highlights of the tour today, we visit the famous Schlumpf classic car collection. This fabulous collection of 400 vintage cars including some of rarest Bugattis, was assembled by Fritz Schlumpf. The museum highlights over 100 years of automobile history, from the “ancestors” (1895-1918) and “classic cars” (1918-38) to “modern” vehicles of the post-1945 period. A second section is devoted to racing cars and motoring masterpieces. B

    DAY 7 Tuesday: Stuttgart
    We cross the border into Germany this morning and travel to the city of Stuttgart - home of both Mercedes Benz and Porsche. The Porsche museum at Zuffenhausen, just outside of Stuttgart is a stunning piece of architecture and features the history of this iconic brand with 80 examples. We take a tour of the factory seeing how the iconic sports cars are made. B

    DAY 8 Wednesday: Stuttgart
    This morning we visit the Mercedes museum. The museum details the development of the automobile from its invention to the present day. We then visit the impressive car collection at the Auto and Technic Museum at Sinsheim. B

    DAY 9 Thursday: Stuttgart
    This morning we travel north first to the Auto and Technical Museum at Speyer. We continue to the Carl Benz auto museum that details the life of this early automotive pioneer before we continue on to Nurburg and the famed Nurburgring. B

    DAY 10 Friday: Nurburg
    In one of the highlights of the tour, we will take an amazing driving tour around the area on public roads in classic cars. In the afternoon there will be an opportunity to drive the famous Nurburgring (subject to track availability) at an additional charge. The Nurburgring, nicknamed “The Green Hell” by Jackie Stewart, is widely considered to be one of the most demanding and difficult purpose-built racing circuits in the world. The home of the German Grand Prix until 1939 on the full circuit and until 1977 on the northern circuit, Driving this amazing track will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. We will also have an included dinner and visit the Nurburgring Museum. We then transfer to our hotel near Frankfurt airport. B

    DAY 11 Saturday: Chantilly Arts & Elegance
    Today we check in at Frankfurt airport for our flight to Paris. On arrival we are transferred to the fantastic Chantilly Arts & Elegance, the premier concours event in France The magical atmosphere of this event, in the enchanting Chateaux of Chantilly is a highlight of our tour. Transfer then to Gare de Nord in Paris for our Eurostar trip to London. B

    DAY 12 Sunday: Concours of Elegance Windsor
    Today, we visit the prestigious Concours of Elegance at Windsor Castle. In 2015 this event, which is always held in the grounds of a royal palace, was held at Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh. In 2014 it was at Hampton Court and, in 2013, it was held at royal gardens of St James’s Palace. In 2016 another sixty rare motor cars are being lined up for the historic garden party of the year at Windsor Castle, just outside London. Perhaps the most prestigious and interesting Concours event in Britain in 2016, this event in the grounds of a British Royal Palace, will be one of the highlights of the tour. B

    DAY 13 Monday: Hethel UK
    Today we travel north to the town of Hethel, where we visit the Lotus factory, where precision manufacturing is beautifully combined with innovative engineering. We discover the history and heritage of Lotus as we follow each step in the creation of these magnificent machines, and take a walk through the years that saw the company develop from a shed-based, one-man operation into the automotive thoroughbred it is today. B

    DAY 14 Tuesday: Donnington UK
    This morning we first visit the Royal car collection at Sandringham House. It contains vehicles used by the Royal Family from King Edward VII to today. We then travel to Donnington Park to visit the the Donnington Grand Prix Collection the largest showcase of Grand Prix racing cars in the world. Four halls, with over 130 exhibits, illustrate the history of motorsport from the turn of the 20th century, where visitors can get close to the cars driven by such famous names as Nuvolari, Mansell, Prost, Moss, Fangio and Stewart. B

    DAY 15 Wednesday: Heritage Motor Centre Graydon UK
    Today the group to visit a renowned car company’s factory to see how their luxury vehicles are manufactured. We then visit the Heritage Motor Centre, home to the world’s largest collection of historic British cars. B

    DAY 16 Thursday: National Automobile Museum
    Today we travel first to the famed manufacturer Morgan, who still builds their cars by hand with wood and tin. A fascinating trip to the past! We then visit the National Automobile Museum at Beaulieu. The museum houses a collection of over 250 automobiles and motorcycles, telling the story of motoring on the roads of Britain from the dawn of motoring to the present day. We continue on to our hotel at Portsmouth near Goodwood. B

    DAY 17 Friday: Goodwood Revival Festival
    The Goodwood Revival Festival is truly a magical step back in time, celebrating the halcyon days of motor racing as it used to be, with all of the accompanying spectacle and glamour of the era. Competitors and spectators alike dress in period fashions, with the finest sights and entertainment of the pre-1966 era for all to enjoy. Held in the immaculate grounds of Goodwood House, this annual event is a true celebration of historic motoring. B

    DAY 18 Saturday: Goodwood Revival Festival
    Our second full day at the amazing Goodwood Revival Festival. B

    DAY 19 Sunday: Goodwood Revival Festival
    The final day of the 2016 Goodwood Revival Festival. We are then transferred to London Heathrow Airport for onward travel. B
