    With close–up Platinum seats at this fantastic event and accommodation at Wellington’s boutique 5 star Bolton Hotel, soak up the WOW atmosphere then travel through the Wairarapa and Hawkes Bay countryside for two nights on the Napier waterfront. Meeting our hosts at private homestead lunches is a special highlight and we stay at the Chateau Tongariro too.

  • Day 1: Auckland – Waerenga Farm lunch – Tongariro National Park
    We depart Auckland and drive to Waerenga farm for lunch with Karen and William Oliver. We continue through the rugged landscape to arrive at the Chateau Tongariro Hotel in time to enjoy the views before dining in this classic hotel.

    Day 2: Tongariro National Park – Ohakune – Wellington
    We drive around the slopes of Mt Ruapehu to Ohakune and on to Taihape. Continuing down the highway we arrive in Wellington in the late afternoon and check into our 5 star hotel, The Bolton for two nights. We dine in at the hotel restaurant.

    Day 3: Sightseeing – Pepped Warbeck, Ohariu Valley – World of Wearable Art Awards Show Sightseeing includes Te Papa Museum and Mt Victoria. Lunch at Pepped Warbeck Garden with Fee Weaver and dine out at Dockside Restaurant before attending the World of Wearable Art Awards Show. Enjoy the spectacle from your close–up Platinum seat.

    Day 4: Wellington – Greytown – Gwavas homestead lunch, Tikokino – Napier
    We drive over the Rimutaka Ranges to visit Greytown. We lunch at Gwavas and tour the historic homestead and gardens with Stuart and Phyllida Gibson to hear the stories of 150 years of family history. We stay two nights at Scenic Te Pania Hotel, Napier.

    Day 5: Driving the Art Deco Trail – Havelock North – Te Awanga
    Accompanied by a specialist Art Deco guide we drive along the Art Deco trail. We explore the region, visiting Havelock North, wine taste and lunch at Te Awa Winery and Restaurant then drive the picturesque Tukituki Road to Clive and Te Awanga. We dine in at our hotel.

    Day 6: Napier – Waipunga Falls – Moondance Manor lunch, Tamahere – Auckland
    We leave Napier to drive over the ranges stopping to view the Waipunga Falls. Our farewell lunch is hosted by Stephen and Jeanette Williams at lovely Moondance Manor in Tamahere. We drive back to Auckland arriving in the early evening.
